Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be streamed live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Ex twice unified heavyweight champion Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Fighter's Attitude
"I plan to injure his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will really want to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
Despite such comments, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically recognized for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Paul rather criticized ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK rival Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Opponent
Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.
Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
However, the novice remains one of boxing's greatest financial successes, frequently receiving substantial financial rewards.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in rounds four or five and asserted he would prevent the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.
Physical Difference
As both boxers participated in the usual confrontation, with their physical disparity on show, it drove home just how surprising this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the bout is actually proceeding.
